Introduction

The OpenGIS Web Map Server (WMS) protocol defines a simple interface for web based mapping applications. The WMS protocol is based on a simple query syntax for posting a request for the desired layers and zoom window to the server, which returns a map as a standard picture (GIF, PNG or other format)

System requirements The Demis Web Map Server runs on Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003/2008 server editions with IIS web server. The Demis WMS service components are COM based, WMS connector scripts are provided for integration with ASP 2.0 or ASP.NET web programming environments.

Purchasing a license You can evaluate the Web Map Server software using a free trial version available from our Support site.
